Services

Shabbat Services

Shabbat services are held twice a month, following the Reconstructionist Siddur, Kol Haneshamah. Once a month, our services are enriched by a visit from a Reconstructionist rabbinic student, although members of the community participate extensively, for example by chanting the Torah portion.  The other monthly service is entirely self-led.

Holidays

Our holiday celebrations for Sukkot, Simhat Torah, Hanukah, Tu B'Shevat, Purim and Shavuot are generally family-oriented and sually include crafts and singing with the Havurah Band.  We celebrate Passover with a community seder.

High Holy Days

Our visiting rabbinic student from the Reconstructionist movement assists us in leading Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur services. Although the High Holy Days services attract many people, we continue to make every effort to maintain our havurah style. With the help of adult members, we also offer programs for the children in our community during the holidays.
